My real gripe, and the rea Derren, I love your work, but this book is only getting 3 stars from me, sorry. Dec 29, Gar rated it really liked it. Jul 14, Gavin Drury rated it really liked it. Overall I recomend it but i must warn that description of bodily functions are quite descriptive at a certain times. But they are long and make you loose context of the book. That said, there are some insightful and though provoking ideas in here.

Derren Brown being, I think, a genuinely kind man or so a friend who’s met him less fleetingly than me assures me and intelligent and reasonably well-informed, I enjoyed reading his views. And that is being kind when meeting famous people.

He wanders around his neurosis and obsessions in an entertaining manner. Yes it is written for non magicians, but valuable knowledge anyway, the other chapters cover hypnosis, memory, body language and pseudo science. The book is, in other words, very well written. He is a good writer with a dreren interesting life, and take on life.
