Making an answer out of my comment: Below is the schematic and the PCB board: I tried with higher value resistor, but it’s still burning. Gives You both the time to make secure meassurements and the ease to identify where the problem really is. It is particularly important to mount the coil and the input decoupling capacitor as close to the device pins as possible to minimize parasitic resistance and inductance, which will degrade efficiency.

I have no experience with buck convertors, what can be wrong? Do you already have an account? Last chance;] I’m just hoping, the problem was a DC supply. It showed about mA. The PT needs to be turned round degrees with that part layout. If you see a short then we can say that the IC is broken.
The chip is rated up to 5 volts in battery power which it can double with pt44115 input and discharge limiting. Pt115 made another pcb.
PT’s pad is in front of R1. Before I was putting the chip correctly. The datasheet also cautions against using a silicon diode for D3 called D1 or D in the datasheetbecause poor reverse recovery time and high voltage drop can cause high voltages to appear on the SW pin. This is actually funny, but I burned the last chip But in truth the whole layout needs redone. That’s a real problem – the acid is not only highly conductive but it’s also corrosive.

I will check your routing once I get home. I’ve had ma through a garden lamp F 4 pin chip, but that was by accident testing an LED in circuit. I didn’t connect it correctly. When I turn it off its making a short. P4t115 are you sure that diode is not fried.
